Internal Medicine

Internal medicine specialists are the "gatekeepers" of healthcare. Our experienced clinical investigators can handle studies with a wide variety of indications such as hypertension, dyslipidemia, angina, bladder control, diabetes, dermatitis, gout, back pain, sports injuries, tendonitis, headaches, oral contraceptives, you name it. Because Internal Medicine is the very best place to recruit research subjects in generally good health, Dr. Castro is in a unique position to manage the unique recruitment needs for a wide variety of study therapeutics and indications. NIH-certified as an experienced research investigator, Dr. Castro is well-qualified to supervise and enroll in studies from hypertension to diabetes. Dr. Castro's large practice focuses on the healthcare needs of men and women in the West Valley. Fluent in Spanish, Dr. Castro can meet the needs of the Phoenix metropolitan's Hispanic and Spanish-speaking population, which is now the majority ethnic group in the Valley area.
Dr. Durbin Drew Durbin, D.O.
Having joined the Internal Medicine team of clinical researchers at Arrowhead Internal Medicine with Michael Castro, M.D. in 2009, Dr. Durbin has had the opportunity to participate in a variety of clinical trials. From diabetic care to hypertension to women's health issues, Dr. Durbin's practice is an ideal place to recruit quality study subjects for study participation. Board-certified, Dr. Durbin's exceptional education and experience fits the challenges that complex clinical study supervision entails.

Working closely with Dr. Castro is Alvin Mathew, D.O., board-certified Internist. Dr. Mathew often serves as Sub-Investigator to Dr. Castro. Together they successfully enroll and supervise the care of study patients within their very busy practice. Dr. Mathew's winning personality and excellence in internal medicine specialties, encourages successful enrollment and brings a patient population with a variety of indications eager to participate in clinical research.
