Pain Management

The pain specialists at the Pain Center of Arizona's (PCA) multiple Valley locations service thousands upon thousands of Valley residents who deal with chronic and acute pain conditions. All study investigators are board-certified Pain Specialists; some are also board-certified in Anesthesia. Pain management is an important medical specialty that provides relief and enhanced quality of life to those that suffer with somatic, visceral, and/or neuropathic types of pain. Experienced in the management of the multiple therapeutic approaches for pain management, the investigators at PCA find that participation novel therapeutics is good both for themselves and for their patients.

Among the Valley's leading pain management specialists stands Dr. Steven Siwek. Mayo Clinic trained anesthesiologist Steven Siwek, M.D., spearheads the research program at PCA. HOPE Research Institute considers itself fortunate to partner with Dr. Siwek's prestigious group for the conduct of unique pain-focused clinical trials. With as many as eleven pain specialists, PCA is one of the largest professional pain centers in Arizona. Dr. Siwek's Mayo Clinic experience forms the foundation for exceptional leadership, which includes specialty public speaking, authorship and publication, national recognition, and precision healthcare supervision. As Principal Investigator for clinical studies, Dr. Siwek investigates a wide variety of pain management tools that range from pharmaceutical therapeutics to sophisticated device and surgical interventions.

Dr. Matthew Doust is a leading Study Investigator and Pain Consultant. Doust's prestigious qualifications include Mayo Clinic training and board certification. As a board-certified anesthesiologist, Dr. Doust's skills as a study investigator provide for excellent supervision and enrollment across multiple areas of pain management therapeutics including acute and chronic pain management, novel delivery of pain therapeutics, and surgical interventions. Aside from his hard work at PCA and HOPE Research Institute, Dr. Doust is a member of the American Society of Anesthesia, the American Society of Regional Anesthesia, and the American Medical Association.

Dr. Ramoun Jones comes to HOPE from the physicians of PCA. Dr. Jones has an extensive background in cancer and non-cancer pain management. After receiving his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Illinois-Chicago in Peoria, IL, Dr. Jones went on to complete his residency of Anesthesiology at the University of Texas in Houston, TX. Dr. Jones has given multiple presentations and lectures related to pain. Trained in Pain Medicine from the M.D. Anderson Cancer Hospital at Houston, TX, Dr. Jones is highly skilled to partner with HOPE in various pain management research studies.

Mayo Clinic graduate and fellow, Dr. Todd Turley stands tall among Pain Management Specialists and Clinical Researchers. Dr. Turley's accomplishments include recognition as a Summa Cum Laude college graduate and missionary volunteer work in Victoria and Tasmania, Australia.

Dr. Turley manages the complexities of treating chronic pain indications related to significant chronic disease and injury states. His research experience spans the range from narcotic side effects to spinal cord injury interventions. An experienced Anesthesiologist and Pain Management Specialist, Dr. Turley can serve as the Principal Investigator for studies covering a broad scope.
