Not to be outdone by HOPE's exemplary team of investigators, the board-certified urologists of Canyon State Urology jump right up to the plate to hit the research ball right out of the park! These experienced clinical researchers manage one of the Valley's largest clinical and surgical practices in the Valley of the Sun. Study experience includes all aspects of BPH, prostate care, cancer, urodynamics, OAB, SUI, hormone therapy, device and implant studies, surgical interventions, and chronic care regimens.

Chief among HOPE's experienced clinical investigators is Roscoe (Rocky) Nelson, M.D. Dr. Nelson spearheads the research effort at Canyon State Urology. Practicing physician and surgeon, Dr. Nelson is board certified in urology, is a highly-awarded physician and surgeon, a busy and active family man, and is among the Valley's leading urologists. Canyon State Urology is one of the largest urology practices in the Phoenix metropolitan area. As an indication of his exemplary work, devotion, and popularity, Dr. Nelson has been honored with the Patient's Choice Award at Thunderbird Samaritan and was selected as one of Phoenix's top doctors.

Dr. Tay is the President of Canyon State Urology, a prestigious urology practice that sees over 50,000 patients annually. Dr. Roscoe S. Nelson spearheads the group's research program. Drs. Tay, Nelson and Christopher S. Stewart serve as PIs for a wide variety of men's health clinical research studies.

Dr. Paul Block is another key member of Canyon State Urology's successful team of researchers. HOPE is privileged to partner with Dr. Block, an urologist with over 26 years of experience. Dr. Block received his medical degree in Guadalajara, Mexico, and completed residencies in both general surgery and urology in Brooklyn, New York. When Dr. Block isn't working with patients as CSU's busy practice, he is also a member of multiple professional medical organizations. Dr. Block is also appointed as an Adjunct Professor at Midwestern College of Osteopathic Medicine.

HOPE is delighted to work with Dr. Ken-ryu Han, a vital part of Canyon State Urology's research team. Dr. Han received his doctor of medicine degree at The George Washington School of Medicine and is a board-certified urologist by the American Board of Urology. Dr. Han's skills and experience along with his urologic oncology fellowship at the UCLA School of Medicine is vital to CSU's continuing success with clinical trials. Aside from being a well-published urologist, Dr. Han is also a member of the American Urological Association.

Critical to the excellence of Canyon State Urology's research ventures, Dr. Philip Koi's expertise is drawn upon early in the study evaluation process. A graduate of the prestigious Tufts University School of Medicine, and as a board-eligible urologist and surgeon, Dr. Koi's partnership with HOPE is a 'feather in our cap!' Dr. Koi collaborates with the other members of CSU's dynamic team of professional researchers to gain the practice renown among study sponsors as a top- enrolling site.

Dr. Christopher Stewart is a Mayo Clinic trained urologist, who practices medicine as one of Canyon State Urology's leading physicians and surgeons. Dr. Stewart partners with HOPE Research Institute in the conduct of dynamic clinical trials. Dr. Stewart's very busy private practice is one of the largest in the Valley, and Dr. Stewart is among the leading surgeons at Thunderbird Banner Health.
